He couldn't bear to see his lover in such pain.

A luminescent form shimmered into form beside the bed, raven wings tucked close to his spine to avoid breaking anything. Slender fingers reached out towards the tear-stained face he loved so well, brushing tenderly against Johnny's soft cheek as tears blurred his vision. He could feel the shorter mans pain as he stood there, hesitating for only a second before climbing on the bed and pulling his lover into his arms, the black wings enfolding Johnny's slight frame. A sigh left his body at how right it felt, just like all the other times he had held his favorite short shit close to him. He could almost pretend everything was fine.

His head bent down as he pressed a kiss to the shorter's forehead, smiling softly as his husband mumbled something and clung to him. "It's ok, short shit, I'm right here." Loving blue eyes met startled brown eyes as he gently pushed a lock of blonde hair off of his husbands forehead, his ring brushing against the skin there. "Jimmy!" Johnny exclaimed softly, his arms clutching tight around the skinny mans waist. "You're here...and you have WINGS!" His eyes widened, his fingers running over the shiny black feathers. "Really awesome wings...Jimmy, am I dreaming?"

The tall man hesitated before nodding, hugging his lover closer. "Yeah short shit, you're dreaming." He muttered, his voice tender and gruff at the same time, biting his lips as he told the lie. "I gotta go, love. I just came...to tell you that I love you, and death will never change that." Regretfully he slid away from his lover, his blue eyes closing as Johnny whimpered sadly. "Sweet dreams, short shit." He sighed sadly as he disappeared into thin air, back up to his little piece of heaven where he was teaching God how to play the drums - leaving behind a mohawked man sleeping with a tender smile on his face, and a black feather clutched tight in one hand.
